WHAT WE TEACH

Three pillars, one goal: people who back themselves.

Every workshop, mentoring session, coaching programme and resource we create sits under one of these three areas — often more than one at once.

01

Leadership

From first-time team leads to senior staff, we build the everyday skills of leading well — clear communication, real trust, and the confidence to make the hard calls.

02

Wellbeing

Practical wellbeing workshops and 1:1 coaching for schools, workplaces and communities — building resilience, connection, and a culture of looking out for one another.

03

Resources

Books, journals and tools that carry Pacific language and culture — including the Tama Pasifika Wellbeing Journal and stories from our publishing partner, Mila's Books.

OUR PUBLISHING PARTNER

Real stories, real culture — with Mila's Books.

Empower Pacific works alongside Mila's Books, the Pasifika children's publisher founded and run by Mani's wife, Dahlia Malaeulu. Mila's Books is the world's only all-Pasifika publishing team, and has been named NZ's Emerging Publisher of the Year and shortlisted for the Bologna Prize for Best Children's Publisher of the Year.

Through our publishing partnership with Mila’s Books, we connect young people with culturally grounded resources such as the I AM Pasifika Journal and Tama Pasifika Wellbeing Journal—supporting identity, confidence, reflection and wellbeing.

OUR STORY

Started by a storyteller. Built for the Pacific community.

Empower Pacific was founded by Mani Malaeulu — an award-winning co-author whose books and wellbeing resources for Pasifika youth grew into something bigger: hands-on leadership and wellbeing training for schools, workplaces and communities across the Wellington region.

Every programme is grounded in Pasifika values, lived experience and a belief that people grow fastest when they're connected to their culture and to each other.
